Why SMARTe is exploring Events Marketing in 2016

Did you know that nearly 70% of B2B marketers listed “in-person events” as their top B2B marketing tactic?

According to The Content Marketing Institute’s study last year, event marketing stands out to be the most popular tactic used by B2B marketers instead of blogging, case studies, white papers and social media. Not just that, but this is also the 5th consecutive year that “in-person events” has top this list. Now everyone knows how important event-marketing is in building an organization’s marketing strategy mix and you can clearly see its significance in the below graphic:-

After carefully studying these facts, this year, SMARTe is planning to explore diverse strategic events that will enable us to not only market our in-line products, but will also help with positioning our brand across the entire business fraternity. We have planned to attend – Eloqua’s Modern Marketing Experience, Marketo’s Marketing Nation Summit, SiriusDecisions Summit held in the US to name a few in our 1st quarter. Not only this, we will be one of the sponsors for the SiriusDecisions Summit where there will be a big announcement by our CEO Mr. Sanjay Gala related to our products/services.

Thus, we are taking significant steps to understand the marketing strategic shortfalls from the past years and have commenced to remedy and grow on our “event marketing” channel.

Taking a quote from successful entrepreneur, Gary Vaynerchuck, he says “Relationships are leverage. If you give value to someone else first, you have leverage.” It’s clear to say that event marketing is one of the best tactics to trigger that personal relationship with your customer along with giving value to them and leveraging it.
